Texas Defender Service  One of the most fact filled reports on how injustice results in death in Texas

Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty  Dedicated people can make change; good links to nationwide movement and other local groups, including but not limited to:

Murder Victims Families for Reconciliation who have a strong Texas contingent, some of whom have appeared on GreenWatch TV (check TCADP for link to TX)

Amnesty International fights the death penalty not only globally, but also nationally and locally with Group 23 see Houston Metropolitan Area for links to Rice and U St Thomas groups etc. Finally, THIS lists many high school and other cells.

Texas Death Penalty Abolition Movement does great work; contact them through the SHAPE Center (ask for Gloria or Njeri). See also Texas Moratorium Network.

Gulf Region Advocacy Center GRACE law's Danalynn Recer appeared on our TV show twice last year (2003) and volunteers are welcome. The organization provides legal counsel to the indigent.

THRF is a decades-old civil rights organization fighting to end discrimination against the GLBT and HIV/AIDS communities in Texas through the use of impact litigation, public education, and legal assistance. Indymedia is a collective of independent media organizations and journalists offering non-commercial coverage of social and political issues.

KPFT 90.1 FM: This radio station airs more great radio programs than could possible be listed here! Tune in, Call in, Drop in.
