Steering Committee 2016

The Harris County Green Party is led by an elected body called the Steering Committee. Two Co-Chairs (typically one female and one male), a Treasurer, a Secretary, and four At-Large members comprise the Steering Committee, which has the responsibility of representing the membership, guiding the party, managing the funds, setting the monthly meeting agenda, and acting on behalf of the party between general membership meetings. Steering Committee members are elected by the general membership and serve a two-year term. We used a preference voting method in our most recent election, February 22, 2015. The Steering Committee meets three weeks before the General Membership meeting (see calendar).
